Hakka Noodle is a very popular street food. Hakka cuisine is known for the use of preserved meats and tofu as well as stir fried noodles. They use different types of sauce in their recipes. But today I made this recipe with very simple and easily available ingredients followed by their unique style. I use some vegetables and my favorite prawns. Small sized prawns are used no need much bigger. You can choose any vegetables for this recipe and the sauces I use it can be easily found in any super market.

2)Chopped Broccoli
½ cup (keep long shape)
3)Carrots
1 medium size
4)Chopped Capsicum
½ cup
5)Onions

8)Noodles
200 gram
9)Slited Green Chilies

11)Tomato Sauce

12)Chili Sauce

13)Soya Sauce

To taste
15)Turmeric Powder
1/3 tea spoon

Equipments

  • Saucepan or any Frying pan
  • Long Frying Spatula
  • Mixing Bowl
  • Knife
  • Stove
Method

  • Now cut all the vegetables. Cut carrots in thin match stick style. Cut onions in slices. Make all the vegetables are ready.
  • Take a small mixing bowl mix tomato sauce, chili sauce, and soya sauce together and keep aside. So when you use the sauces in the recipe you don’t have to worry to add them step by step.
  • Now all ingredients are ready. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add ajwain and stir for ten seconds. 
  • Now add the marinated prawns to it. Fry for 2-3 minutes on medium flame. Do not over fry prawns otherwise it could become chewy. When prawns are well fried keep it aside.
  • Now add the sliced onions and slit green chilies to the same pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes. When onions are become light golden brown add chopped ginger and garlic to it. Fry for 40 to 50 seconds on medium flame.
  • Now add chopped broccoli, capsicums, and carrots. Stir fry all of them or until they well cook. It will take a few minutes.
  • Meanwhile in a large saucepan boil water. Then add salt to the boiling water. Now add noodles and cook for 3-4 minutes or till noodles is cooked.
  • Now add this cooked noodles and fried prawns to the stir fried vegetables. Add the mixed sauce and salt. Mix well all. Fry all for 2-3 minutes. Then Hakka Noodles is ready to serve
  • Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.

Cooking Tips
  • Arrange all ingredients handy before start cooking. 
  • Keep the flame on the medium during the whole cooking
