Method
- At first, gather all ingredients together with exact measurements given before start cooking. Now take a large mixing bowl and add the cooking oil. You can also use butter instead of oil. Now add milk and vanilla essence to the cooking oil. Whisk continuously using a hand beater. The mixture should be very smooth. It will take only two minutes to mix together.
- Now take sieve over it and add all dry ingredients- plain flour, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, coffee powder, baking powder, baking soda, a pinch of salt one by one. Sieve well all ingredients. It is a very important step do not skip it. Coffee powder plays a very important role here it enhances the richness of chocolate and leave a subtle flavor of coffee and also give a dark and nice color to it which makes this recipe perfect.
- After sieving all dry ingredients add vinegar. Now take a spatula then fold and mix the batter gently. Do not hurry. After mixing well now take a hand beater and whisk continuously for 4-5 minutes. The batter should be very smooth and thick. So whisk until smooth and keep aside.
- Now set the oven. Take a deep bottom saucepan then spread salt over it. Now place a plate. Keep cover. Preheat for 10 minutes on medium flame. Preheating is very important it makes cake evenly cook. Now time to set the cake tin. I take a round shape cake mold. You can choose as you want. Brush oil the cake mold and then sprinkle some plain flour all over it then remove the excess flour from it. Now cut a parchment paper and place to it( this is optional). Pour the batter to the cake mold and tap for few times to remove the air bubbles. Now place it to the preheated saucepan and bake for 50 minutes with the lid on at lowest flame.
- After 50 minutes check with a stick by pushing it into the cake if it comes out clean then the cake is ready or not then bake more 5-10 minutes and then it will be ready. After baking cake cool completely and then demould the cake. Your spongy, soft & moist cake is ready to enjoy with your family.
- Sprinkle some icing sugar when serving.
