Fruit Cake | With & Without Egg Both | Winter Special | Quick & Simple

Another delicious cake recipe is here. This is the quickest and simple recipe of cake. In this type of recipe gather all ingredients of cake in your favorite mug and bake the cake on that same mug. So this is a quick and non messy cooking style. When we bake a cake we use mixing bowls, one for dry ingredients one for wet ingredients but here in this cooking style we use just one mug and that’s all. The most fun part is that the mug cake takes only a few minutes to bake so If you want to plan to make this cake just before the arrival of your guests or you can surprise your kids whenever you want. I use dry fruits in this recipe because dry fruits are available always so using this, the recipe would be easier and quicker. But if you want to you can also some fresh fruits like strawberry or cranberry etc. I give two recipes of this mug cake that one is with egg and other is without egg. Choose which you want to make.

Method
  • At first chop cashew nuts, raisins and cherries roughly then mix all together and keep aside. Now take your favorite mug. For this, you can choose the medium size mug. Remember the mug should not be made by plastic. For this take ceramic mugs. Now brush some oil the mug.
  • Before starting the recipe you should preheat your oven. Take dip bottom saucepan and spread some salt or sand at the bottom of the saucepan and place a steel stand in it. Cover the saucepan and heat for 10 minutes (must). The flame should be on medium. Meanwhile, prepare your cake batter. Now follow process 1 for the recipe with egg and follow the process 2 for the recipe without egg.

Process 1- With Egg
  • Now add the egg to the mug. Take a beater and beat the egg for 1-2 minutes. Now add the cooking oil, milk and vanilla essence to the mug. Whisk all ingredients together for 2-3 minutes or until mix well. Now add the dry ingredients plain flour, powdered sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt one by one.
  • Take a spoon and mix all ingredients together. Make smooth a batter. Then add some chopped dry fruits to the batter and mix well and spread some dry fruits over the batter. It will look beautiful at the end of the cooking.
  • Now keep the mug to the preheated oven. Bake for 10 minutes at very low flame. After 10 minutes check with a stick or skewer by pushing it to the cake if it comes out clean then your cake is ready to serve.
